Ron suggested for those who are interested in using Eudora;

Let me pipe in here.

I don't even know waht the propblem is, or that there even is one.

I selected a [PCI] message, told Eudora to make a filter of those 5 characters in the subject line and told it to filter those into a 'PCI' mailbox. Then moved the filter to the top of the list of filters, and nothing else changed.

What is the problem? Eudora is the mother of all mail programs, and it is free.

Ron the problem is this,

For example Bruce wrote the other day that he uses Mail app which I believe is native to OS 10.3 . The [PCI] prefix made the subject line in the list unreadable and scrambled the order of date and time of the messages. Other listers using other email clients have reported that their system of filters
became similarly disfunctional. Those folks want the prefix dropped.
