> actually I feel like I ve been cheated by sonnett because I had toupgrade to 9.1 to get it going and then the speedincrease is almost 0 compared with 8.6
You need to upgrade to 9.2.2: I'm using a NewerTech G3-266, and my 7600 feels like its blazing (it feels considerably faster than my in-laws G4-400 with OS 10.3).
You can download the SMI's for 9.2.1 and 9.2.2 from Apple, and you'll need OS9 Helper.
I'm not having any stability problems.
Thanks I have already all those files and the helper, the problem is that they won't install on my 9.1 system unless I reinstall it fresh - and I was putting it on hold for the reason that there will be such an amount of different special things to save install and fix, (I installed 9.1 fresh on 1 partition and the upgrade+helper and then it worked fine, what I did was that I just knicked some open gl extensions and put it into my 9.1 extension folder, and that works aswell. but fore now I will wait until I have the time and energy.)
