Anybody have an opinion for what the best TV tuner for a 7600 or 9600 PCI based Mac would be?
I am switching from Dish Network to Comcast (more channels, 1/2 the cost, plus locals in HD), and I am losing my DVR ability for a couple of months, so I'd like to replace it with something on one of my Macs. I have a solution for a PC, but I'd prefer to use my Mac. Is there DVR software available for a Mac? I seem to recall that there is a Linux based app somewhere, and that will work for me, but I want to verify before I take the plunge. Any information is better than I have, especially in regards to how well a solution works (I can find info from google, but it doesn't tell me whether it actually works in the real world).
