I want to slide a Performa 6360 logic board inside a 6300 cabinet, using the power supply of the latter. Would that be OK? Any risk involved? The reason is the 6360 has a lot of rust, and someone just gave me a look-like-new Performa 6300. In the 6360 board there is a Crescendo L2 card and an Ethernet PCI card.
As long as you swap the power supply, it should be fine.
I recently put a 6360+PS into a 636, and the only issue was the back face plate no longer fitting (as expected; You shouldn't have that issue).

Thank you. It seems difficult to me to remove the 6300 power suply, the 6360's as well. There is one cable I couldn't figure what it connects to and how to disconnect it. Any advice on swapping the PSs? Is there a site with instructions on how to take these machines apart and put them back together?
Thanks again, Harold
