2) Are there any other cheap cards that you might think were appropriate?


I run an older Techworks VooDoo 3D card in one machine. I use it set at 1152 X 870. It is very stable and that setting gives me plenty
of desktop real estate.


My other machines have the old standby Twin Turbo 128s. running at 1024 X 780 . If my monitor was better they could output bigger resolutions also.

Whatever card you want I suggest you try the LEM swap list first.
