Or the whole thing could be forged...

Forged, spoofed, and complete BS.... I'd be surprised if it were not. Maybe this is the beginning of MS's imploding. - lol

I can't even begin to tell you what has been going on with my comcast accounts due to the spam garbage.
The little script kiddie spammers and their worms have been going absolutely sick-o for at least the last 2 months.
Not to mention the Ugandan president, the Viagra peddlers, and strangers who want to alter my anatomy ....
Spam "filters" have pretty much become useless since the spam still arrives to your account and causes problems.
I have accounts that I can't even DL my legit mail from anymore until I go to the comcast site and clear the spam out first. It just locks the whole account up. Doesn't matter if it's in the filtered or trash mail box either. Personally I view this as a colossal failure on comcast part. It's just not practical to change your addy every month - and wouldn't do much good anyways. The part that's really starting to tick me off is that I have young children that are just starting to get into the whole "online" experience. They want email addys so they can converse with their friends. I need something that prevents this stuff from showing up in the first place. Well that's my rant on the subject. Maybe a little OT though...

Fact is, I think were approaching the point of powerlessness in being able to stop it. If you're still into back tracing you could try:
samspade.org
Although it's probably been bounced and spoofed around the planet more times than the common flu. Then it ends at some ISP server over seas that says you don't have access to personal account info. Good luck.
