Before I just set the bulk of my messages to go to the Deleted Items
folder, I set up folders for the kinds of wanted mail I got, and
then whateer remained in my Inbox was likely to be trash. I'd give
it a quick skim, read what I wanted, archive what I wanted to keep,
and then Selected All and clicked to trash everything that remained
in the inbox. Took almost no time. I never read the bulk of the stuff
sent to me.

If a person trying to reach me can't come up with a decent Subject
line, screw 'm.

It should also be noted that having two email addresses, for different
purposes, is a good idea. Give one to your friends. But the "ecommerce"
email address - your public address - will be mainly for those messages
from businesses and people you expect, and can easily filter in.
