iCab has already crashed at least three or four times after using it for only about 24 hours. Maybe there are extensions conflicts causing browsers to crash?
Could be, but I've never found any.
Most crashes occur because the site uses bad html or javascript or java.
Ways to try to fix it:
IE and NS and Mozilla -- maybe give them more memory. But note what the memory allocation was, and if increasing it doesn't fix anything, return it to the old size.
iCab -- leave the preferred memory size alone, just increase the plug-in memory in the preferences.
After a crash, trash the browser's cache folder before you re-launch. That way bogus data isn't brought into the browser again.
IF the site is flash heavy, you're screwed. All of the Flash plug-ins released for the Mac, over the past year or so have memory leaks.
IF the site has poorly written java, you're screwed. NS' java engine is buggy. Apple's (used by IE and iCab) is only slightly better.
Welcome to the World Wide Washout. It's a slip-shod environment created by ... Microsoft.
