Gads! Now I won't even consider GMail for any reason! Though I have to
say I'm really surprised Congress actually cares about citizen privacy.

It's a big election year, and being anti-big brother is a good thing for congress critters. It takes attention away from their involvement with the vast data mining projects being run by "other agencies".


...Article in the NYTimes today about riff raff using IRC for nefarious purposes. Apparently the FBI wanted one of the irc server developers to add a few "monitoring" features...

with my first Mac) I had way too many problems with it,

There were some grody releases of Eudora back then. Eudora 6 is much better, really. :)
