I have the same problem with OS 9.1, and unfortunately I don't think there's
a solution. I don't think the Apple marketing dept. wants anyone using
anything less than OS X. It's in Apple's best interest for us to be forced
to upgrade. It sure doesn't seem to be hurting Apple's business when it
comes to the iTunes Store.
If we want iTunes downloads, we'll have to move into the 21st century.
