If I could afford the latest and greatest I wouldn't even be near this list. I would be on the G5 list !
The whole purpose of this list is to get to most out of what we already have Legacy PCI Macs ! Focus here people !
As far as Apple is concerned, OS 9 is dead. They're not going to come out with any new software for any non-X system. Get over it.
I'll bet that any PEECEEer with anything that will run whatever version of Windblowspain can access the iTunes store !
You lose. From <http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/>
Windows System Requirements
* Windows XP or 2000 * 500 MHz Pentium class processor or better * QuickTime 6.5.1 (included) * 128 MB RAM minimum/256 RAM recommended * Latest Windows service packs recommended
But us guys that are likely to buy Apple again ? OH, NOOOO! You guys gotta UPGRADE !
I'm still using OS 9. As much as I would like to patronize the iTunes Music Store, I can't afford to upgrade right now. It doesn't surprise me that my nine-year-old computer running a four-year-old operating system can't access a service that didn't exist until a year ago. It doesn't bother me, either. If it bothers you, you know what you have to do.
You're forgetting one key point: iTMS doesn't exist so Apple can make money selling music, it exists so Apple can make money selling computers and iPods. The only reason Apple opened it to (some) Windows users was to spread the costs over a larger customer base.

So it's OK to undermine your own customer base ? Wise business practice for the new millennium 1
Read my bet again I think I covered the bases.
It would not take much to provide html to allow access in another way for us who are behind in our configurations. It only take a desire.
iTunes music store is the most successful online music provider to date from what I read. You think they are not making huge profits on this /
It may rival the profits made on computers. This is an ever increasing part of the Apple make no doubt of it.
No, the reason Apple opened it to Windblows users was to dip into a huge trough of money !
