As such, I have a renewed interest in adding upgrades to it in order to make it more user friendly. I was wonderingif anyone in here had any recomendations on what brands of internal modem I can get for it,

none, afaik. I don't think an internal modem was ever made for them I use a Best Data external 56K.

and possibly a USB card as well.

any OHCI-compliant USB 1.1 card should work. You will need to add the Apple drivers.

Also, I've been toying with the idea of a G3 upgrade as well, but I'm unsure which card to go with- preferably 300 mHz or greater, but I'm still undecided with which brand to get.

You would be hard-pressed to find one that slow, save via the Swap list. OWC has a Sonnet 500Mhz G3 for $165 <http://tinyurl.com/2pmcu>
