G3/G4 Cache Profiler 1.5 from PowerLogix supposedly lets one turn the
motherboard cache on and off. I can't verify that it works, since I removed
the cache DIMM from my PTP when I put in the Sonnet G3/450 card.

For some reason, the successor to G3/G4 Cache Profiler, CPU Director (
version 1.5f6, at least), doesn't have that capability -- or maybe it just
doesn't show that option when there's no cache on the motherboard! Anybody
know anything about this?

If anybody does want a copy of G3/G4 Cache Profiler 1.5, I can email it to
you.

I would appreciate to take a look Aaron, please. I have G3/G4 Cache Profiler
1.3 and wonder if there is any advantage in the 1.5 version? This for OS 9?

My 1.3 turns the backside cache on and off and can set the cache fine as far
as it has appeared to me. Though it is a naughty thought: does it actually
do anything besides appear to! (Like the pedestrian light buttons in Sydney
are often completely non-functioning, unknown to most folk who go on
pressing them. They are automatic, centrally programmed, timed variously).
