I bought a ViewSonic VGA monitor several years ago to replace
a failed Apple MultiScan15. It came with an adapter with several
DIP type switches to set for various monitors/computers. I think
most of the "switchless" adapters were/are for older Macs with
limited video capability. I would suggest hunting up a more
flexible adapter. Try the lem-swap list for cheapter options.
