AVP actually has some compression features which I usually use, see the preferences etc > As for turning something from AVP to mpeg, you can always spend the > $30? to upgrade your Quicktime to Quicktime Pro. I was happy to pay in US $ from a Paypal account. All they do is send some numbers in an email - a key to unlock the potential in QT, I will have to get it from an authorised Australian outlet (they will email me the numbers for nearly double the price!). Doubtless, there are probably commercial justifications. Any legal method I am missing?). As for compression, apart from QT or the built in AVP itself, I use (don't ask about the crashes that ensue) some software that came with my (not very good) Connectix web cam ... QuickMovie. I open the saved AVP file in the QuickMovie and do some editing and compression. For web, I sometimes get surprisingly adequate results (low frame rate, low number of colours). Sort of cute really, like movies at the birth of movies... > Sherman David Elmo -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
