Bit lost on this one I'm afraid... I got what you call a plug in, yes it's
an extension and I put it in the extensions folder and fired up but I am not
too sure what is going on here, ordinary QT 6 seems not to have any editing
functions (I know, you mentioned an earlier QT (2.x) in a later post but
surely I should not go so far back...).

What exactly do *you* do when you have a TV or VCR tape linked to your 7600?
Earlier I described how I struggle along. You capture a clip with AVP. You
have the clip in a file staring at you. You then do exactly what with that
file?

I was thinking that this "plug in" is something more sophisticated to be
applied to the AVP produced .mov file but it seems more complex?

I think, unless you care to stop me, I will just go all wild like and get QT
Pro and see what I can do with that. I already happily play clips made with
AVP in QT player... But I need better editing and compression... But not to
the extent of Avid etc yet.
