Free tech support for a free program is not really feasible, esp. for a company owned
by AOL/Time-Warner.
That being said, there is plenty of free Netscape help on the 'net. You might look
here http://www.ufaq.org/, esp. the "PC Faqs" section. There are also links to the
newsgroups hosted on secure servers at Netscape. The folks that read those groups are
not paid, but are very knowledgable and willing to help. I completely agree with your
"exercise" suggestion.
