I have encountered a problem with the netscape browser. I can receive
and send mail with the messenger, but if I try to click on a URL in the
message, it goes to the NS browser screen and sits there with just my
local background color. I have the personal tool bar with urls on it,
and the only ones that will function are the local (hard disk) pages. I
cannot enter an address in the Location line and access the internet as
well. The confounding problem is that my IE and Opera will both access
the Internet just fine. I have cable modem so there is no dialup or
other DUN connection to deal with. I have replaced the Prefs.js with my
backup, I have replaced my bookmarks with a backup (a couple of months
old) and I have discontinued my firewall (Black Ice) with no success in
any. I have the proxy set to direct connect so there is no proxy
setting. Looking for any suggestions as to where I might look for a
setting that has turned off the browser (Online/offline is online as
well).
