Annie Go to Device Manager and remove the Scanner.
Then re-boot your system and you should get the
message "New Hardware Found Installing drivers"
If this doesn't work with your USB connected, next try
removing the Scanner with the USB unplugged and then
reboot and plug in your USB scanner.
