Good day, Thanks to a lot of you, I do know how to format the cells for each new program I do. What I really need to know, is there a way to turn off this auto format as a default. I have WDB files that I save as CSV. When I open these up in a text viewer all is fine. If I click on the CSV, Excel opens, but the file will not. I get no table view at all. If I drag the CSV file into the blank portion of the Excel window it will open, but the cells are 'auto-formatted to dates and other formulas it recognizes. I have a program that I import these to, but can only import with the commas separating the fields I need the default option in Excel to stop auto-formatting these fields. I really hope I explained this enough. Thank you. Jeff
