Hi Janet....if Word is truly open and maximized but offscreen, RIGHT click
on the Word button you see on the task bar and select Move....then you can
move it with your arrow keys on your keyboard....if Move is greyed out,
Click on Maximize and then you can get the Move option by clicking on the
little Word icon at the top left corner of the Window

Subject: PCWorks: MS Word has disappeared!!

Hello friends,

I need your help. We have MS Office 97 on my daugher's laptop. When she
opens MS Word, you can tell it's open because it appears on the task bar
along the bottom. However, the program window is off the screen. It's way
over to the left so far that you can't grab any part of it to pull it over
into the viewable area. We have tried closing it and re-opening it, as well
as shutting down and restarting the computer. It keeps doing the same
thing. Anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks!

Janet
