Hi Vern,  I'm close to Detroit (5 hours). If you never intend to run win98 
and have no use for any of the data there then you can delete it and 
reformat the drive.  XP will read FAT 16, 32 and NTFS and it will run on 
all of them too, though it performs best on NTFS albeit slower than FAT 32 
but more secure
You should be able to format the drive through XP. Go into explorer or My 
Computer and right click on the drive and choose format (quick format won't 
work), remember to choose the file system your XP already uses, and proceed 
to format the drive.  One good thing about a second drive is if the drive 
is relatively new then you can move the paging file onto it and speed up 
the main drive.
