The error is with AVG not XP. It is due to AVG incorrectly identifying the operating system as win95, do you have the latest AVG installer? This message came up with win2k before: <snip> After installing AVG 6.0 on Windows 2000 the driver CORE is not found. This occurred on some computers with an older AVG 6.0 program. The problem arose because Windows 2000 was incorrectly identified as Windows 95. This problem was fixed with AVG version 6.0.100 or higher. If you do not have a newer setup please download the trial version from our web site and replace the trial serial number with your own. This will install the full version. <snip>http://www.grisoft.com/html/us_faq.cfm?reg=1#10 Did you upgrade to XP or do a clean installation? If you did an upgrade, did you uninstall AVG before the upgrade then reinstall afterwards? Peter Kaulback ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
