I have a few clients who do use PayPal successfully, but I do have one client who had nothing but trouble with both PayPal and eBay. Strangely enough, the ones who had no problems reside outside the US, and the one with the problems is from the US but she has a merchant setup now and is using Miva http://www.miva.com/ for her shopping cart system and she is very happy.
