But again, you're stating "that you stretch the window size
to". Since you cannot stretch it to the TRUE MAXIMIZED size
and have it *REMAIN* that size for OTHER browser windows,
it's not maximizing the browser window. No matter how large
to stretch out the browser window (you can even stretch it to
way off the sides of the screen), it will NOT open to that
size again, it opens smaller. That small ~.25" does make a
big difference because I have found that's all it takes at
some ridiculous sites (that won't design for more than one
resolution of 1024x768 and won't use the "100%" tag). This
then causes the page to have to be horizontally scrolled to
see the entire page. When you MAXIMIZE it, it no longer
needs to be horiz. scrolled. If websites would be designed
correctly for at least 800x600 & 1024x768 and use the 100%
table width tag, we wouldn't have this problem and just
manually dragging and stretching the lower right handle on a
browser window would work.

Yes, that's by design.
But it doesn't have to be that way. You can set the email
links to open to
any size you want.
All my email links open to a maximum size and I use IE 5.5
and OE 5.5
So if it works for me, it can work for anyone.
Just to be sure - did you open an email link and then use
your mouse to
stretch the window to a maximum size and then exit? And had
no other
windows open when you did it.
Your email links should open at the same size as you
stretched the window
to.
This is by design too.

> If I maximize an IE browser, then close it.
> Click the Internet Explorer shortcut, it opens MAX.
> If I then click the link in his email, it opens smaller,
normal size.
