Take 2 DOES run on win98 just fine. The problem is just
because it won't run on XP or 2k, the Roxio "geniuses in
their infinite wisdom" chose to make ALL users of their
product suffer for the shortcomings of XP & 2k with Take 2.

When I first used TT, I couldn't believe how simple and how
fast it was. About 5 minutes or less and your done, and less
time to restore. Others I've looked at had quite complicated
user interfaces.

I have used ECDC every since it was first created years ago,
and never used another. So, I'm so use to it and proficient
with it, after all these years I'd have to learn all over
again. I have looked at NTI (when it came with some drives I
got) and hated it. Never could get it to work with packet
writing and very complicated user interface. I found the
same problems with Clone CD, CDxpress, and Nero. With Nero,
you can't even use a CDR disc for packet writing which is
totally ridiculous.

I love ECDC and Take Two just fine. The problem is with
these idiots at Roxio and what they have done to ALL windows
users for ECDC Platinum. I'm either going to have to keep
using my old CDRW drive, or, find another backup program that
is as fast and easy as Take Two. If I'm lucky, I can figure
out a way to circumvent this "atrocity" they have committed,
and keep Take 2 along WITH the ECDC 5 update I need to use
with my new CDRW drive. :-) I must say, they are pulling a
stunt that would make Microsoft proud, and this is putting
them in the 'same field' now opinion wise as M$.

Clint, have you tried looking at any other competitors
products, perhaps
someone else makes a better product than Take2 or at the very
least one
that does run on 98.
I never used ezcd or even take2 for that matter, I use Ghost
for cloning
drives myself, and I know Roxio has never been interested in
what was the
OS of choice 2 years ago or at any time for that matter (they
told a client
of mine to upgrade to XP from win2k so that they could better
meet their
support needs).
