format it as text, it does not work...but if I put it in AFTER I format

here...and I tried it on all my installations...Excel 97, 2000, and 2002
and it worked just fine in every case, as long as I formatted the cell
as text BEFORE I entered 25E5

Linda, I stand (sit) corrected you are right and I will have to let on other 
person know that is very very knowledgeable with Excel.
