I have four machines. Two of them have separate partitions with
multiple operating systems. I am currently running Office 97 on a Win
98SE machine; Office 2000 and Office 2002 on one machine with Win 2K and
Win XP respectively (this is my main machine and both operating systems
are hidden from each other so the installations of Office cannot see
each other either); my third machine is Win 2k with Office 2k; and my
fourth machine is a dual partition dual boot with Win 2k/Office XP and
Win 98/Office 2k. The Office 97 install has both sr1 and sr2. The
Office 2k installs have sp2. And the Office XP installs have sp1.

I'm really not sure what you are asking or saying Peter. I am NOT
having a problem. Formatting cells in Excel works just fine here...on
each and every one of my installs. It's Jeff who is having the problem
as his cell formatting is not working correctly.

And, as far as I know the only times I've seen problems with running
multiple installs of Office is when you put them on the same drive or
partition and I don't do that.

Linda, how many versions are there for M$ Office? Does this include all
the
service releases/packs and updates?
I'm asking only because a MOUS I know continually runs into issues
between
all the patches, updates, and fixes from his machine as compared to the
machines of others. A common issue for any support person regardless of
application or platform.
How many machines do you run M$ Office on?
