Hey Gang, I have just found out yesterday an issue that I was most definitely not expecting to deal with.
I now have a problem with trying to do auto redial on my phone, which is a GE desk phone. Turns out that, unlike when I had Cable access for the Internet, now that I have DSL, my phone's auto redial will not work. When I called GE tech support, the woman told me that their phonew are not able to work on doing auto redial with lines that have roll over, DSL, and similar services. What I think is that when it redials a busy number, there is, even with the filtering unit, enough of the DSL signal detectable by the phone circuitry so that though the phone number is busy, the phone thinks that it has connected and so beeps me to tell me it has connected, though it has not. Has anyone had this problem before and if you have, have you come up with a solution on solving the problem??? Ralph ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
