You can control the large messages by creating a rule or filter and setting the maximum message size allowed. This blocks huge mail but occasionally you do have to clear these large one's from your mail box on your server or else all mail will soon be bounced when the mail box is full.
In Eudora I have it set so I have the option to download the attachment or not. Quite handy.

I found this feature.(of blocking) and was thrilled. I just checked the "blocked list" and I've already put on there.. 12 emails to be blocked. and only 2 .. are the same ones.. The rest are all nonsense mail.. (like I had written about).. so this feature seems to be really KEWL.. ..<smile>
Oh, regarding getting a large file. that takes FOREVER to come in.. I had that. when I had my old system. and had Netscape. and the only way I could stop it. was by going to mail2web.. putting in my acct. and password. and deleting it from there.. cause Netscape wouldn't even open such a large file..
