Hi Guys. Well, this morning. I opened my email and only had 19 messages. of which 4 where stuff I didnt' want.. So thats not too bad.. Those 4.. were advertisements.. for insurance. and "get a date". LOL.. But thats not bad, in comparison to some mornings. when I have TONS to delete.. So, Clint, maybe it IS working. cause this is considerably less than I normally would be getting.
I checked my spamanitor(from Earthlink) I had over 541 messages in there.. and just because I was curious. I did 3 complete pages of them. ,looking at the names. and YES, they were all spam.. So Earthlink is doing it's job.. in not letting those get thru... and those are just for about 2 weeks.. So thats ALOT.. So, I'm pleased that Earthlink.. has this going.. and also their pop-up stopper. which really does work. As far as swithching back to Netscape.. I'm already happy, and comfortable with IE and Outlook Express.. and I had Netscape ONLY in the past. and I have found there are so many more features with IE. and being able to use Outlook Express.. so for "now". I'm sticking with these programs.. I did have Netscape 7.1 in the past. I really dont' need to have my own domain.. cause I'm only on the computer. for pleasure. I dont' have 'customers'. or acct's.. so it's not that I need to have my own domain..(though, it does sound nice).. but not something I need.... Thanks. Oh, and I do agree, NEVER send them an email back.. One day.. over a year ago. out of pure frustration. at my moms house. She sent them an email. telling them she's an 80 year old lady(she is now 80) and doesnt' want their "Viagra" ads anymore.. Since then. She has gotten TONS more..SIGH. I had done the same thing.. (again, out of pure frustration. about 2 -3 years ago.. and then I realized, OH DARN. what Did I do.. I knew better, but I was annoyed and wanted them to stop. and instead.. YES, what I did. was give them a valid email address..But that was over 2 years ago for me.. and about a year ago for my mom.. (who btw. still insists that if she writes to them. "maybe they'll listen".. LOL.. Try to explain, WHY she can't to her.. and it doesn't work.. LOL But thats mom.. Anyway, so far. I've found the blocking to be working.. but as you say, maybe it's not really, and I"ve just had a "lucky couple of days".. Who knows.. LOL Thanks again.
