Thank you for the help. You guys have given us three excellent programs for Searching in Favorites. For anyone interested, they each have their special features as follows:
"Favorite Search" <http://www.dzsoft.com/favseek.htm> puts an icon in your Explorer Tool Bar, which opens a search pane in the left side of the browser (just like the History button opens). The pane has a box for searching the Favorites that you have accumulated. It can search both names and URL's. URLBase <http://www.snapfiles.com/download/dlurlbase.html> reminds me of a library with the Dewey Decimal System already pre-arranged. If one is looking for a start in arranging Favorites (or Bookmarks), it seems a good way to start. It's already loaded with tons of references. URLBase also has a System Information link that generates a text document with important information about your computer. It also has an excellent Help file. AlphaCuts <http://www.snapfiles.com/get/alphacuts.html> opens a window with all your Computer programs, or Favorites listed alphabetically with an alphabet linkage to each letter section. Just by typing in the name of a program or the name of a Favorite or hovering the mouse over an particular letter, AlphaCuts finds it for you. However, I don't see where it can find an actual URL but as we see, nothing can do everything . Harold ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
