find the location of the "Favorites" folder in IE? If not, please explain.--

Answer to Response 1 -- Finding the IE folder is not the issue. In short, I
don't see any way of finding any one favorite by inserting the URL of that
favorite in the Find. In other words --- here in IE, in the Menu bar, under
Favorites, I have two options: 1) Add to Favorites, and 2) Organize
Favorites. Adding to Favorites is not my concern now. In Organize Favorites
there are four buttons: 1) Create Folder, 2) Move to Folder, 3) Rename, and
4) Delete.

And within that Organize Favorites window, if I right-click any one folder
in the right pane, I can only find what is only within that particular
folder (there is no way of highlighting the entire pane, and that's another
problem). Besides that, even within a particular subfolder (which one might
create): you can only "find" using the name of the URL or some text --- but
NO way of finding using the URL of any favorites within that subfolder and
no way of finding any "unfoldered" favorite (again, using the URL of that
unfoldered favorite).

I don't use Netscape anymore because it was giving me some trouble with my
website (as Hugh says, something I mess around with) because what looked all
rght in Netscape didn't have the same look in IE ... and he's right,
especially according to the "who's using what browser statistics" but it
sure was easier for me to get around the Bookmarks folder, certainly to find
any bookmark only using the URL. It was convenient if I wanted to see if
some site I might be looking at and wanted to save was already in my
Bookmarks folder; I would enter the URL to see if maybe I already had it,
EVEN if I had changed the name of the site in the Bookmarks folder ... the
URL would always be the same.

This is an aside occuring to me while I'm writing this ... truth is I never
use the Favorites I have (including the many Bookmarks I moved into
Favorites). Maybe I use a dozen on a regular basis which I now keep in the
Links Bar. And for anything else, with Google, who needs any sites saved
(except for maybe a temporary duration). I must have a few hundred
"favorites" that I never look at. If I find the courage (that's a good
Find), I'll delete the whole mess, making this entire question
unecessary --- but I'm curious anyway ... Harold
