I have that and it does work...but perhaps the cartridge is worn out since it won't 
print all the colors
any more...or the printer is wore out.

I know that there is a piece of hardware available that will reset epson
cartridges.  I have no idea how well it works.  Take a look at

 I always recommend Canon at least for photo printing.  I  have an I850
that's been terrific.  I just ordered an i9900.

Can anyone suggest a decent printer that does NOT use cartridges with built
in circuits, sensors, etc?
I have an Epson and a Brother(at the shop) and both use some type of device
on the cartridge that prevents
me from using the printer, even though I can plainly see plenty of ink in
the Brother cartridges.
