Ok, OE5 doesn't have that attachment check box. Sounds like you may need to
repair OE.

PROBLEM is slightly changed:
In "Send" tab, the HTML button had a check in it.

In "Security" there is no "attachment box" (just two areas: Security Zones"
and "Secure Mail" ... neither one having an "attachment box"), and the
Advanced button shows nothing relevant there.

HOWEVER, and I just discoved that "paper clip" on the right side of the
email, for some reason unknown to me, the MSWord documents CAN be sent (and
received). BUT, Notepad is not being picked up by my Outlook Express. The
"paper clip" opens an appropriate icon but the options there are greyed out.

For both, doc and txt files, the icon in the Attach box is a MS icon with no
description. I always used to see an appropriate program icon with some
description. Obviously, something is amiss in the state of Denmark. Any
other suggestions? ... Harold
