He did all that already. :-) It was 85% w/o AVG and ZA, and nothing else was running. -Clint
Merry Christmas to all & God Bless Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com ) http://ComputersCustomBuilt.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hugh Vandervoort" When I had dialup and Win98 I would have 98% free resources at startup regularly. In your case, just turn off AVG and ZA,then see what your resource use is. There's no harm in doing this as long as you're not connected to the 'net. If this doesn't get you close to 98%, do a Ctrl-Alt-Del to see waht else is running. ************************************************************************ Like Pope Julius II said to Michaelangelo, "When will this damn ceiling be finished?" (Well, maybe he didn't say "damn"). Here goes: With AVG, I have the following running in msconfig, startup: AVG7_CC --- that is the Control Center AVG7_AMSVR --- that is the Updater AVG7_EMC --- that is the Email Scanner Harold ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
