BTW, if you select a set of objects, then cut it, then paste it, copies of
the objects will reappear where the originals were, but they will be fully
disconnected from the part of the patch that was not cut.
And on Pd-extended, the pasted objects will be shifted down and to the
right, so you can see them.
We're talking cut+paste, not copy+paste, so, what you say does not apply,
because the originals are gone, thus you don't have to distinguish the new
objects from the originals.
