1. You have Acrobat 5...it does not have the "save as Word file" feature.   2. You use the text touchup tool and highlight the text you wish to touch up...just like in a word processing program. Then you type over it. Note: you must have the font that you are trying to use for the touchup installed on your machine.   3. Acrobat 6 is a full-version upgrade...it can be purchased from Adobe for a nominal price.   4. I guess that the original pdf file having come from MS Word probably doesn't have the fonts embedded?
