You may have a bigger problem.
You can reinstall Distiller and the whole Acrobat package from the original
disk. I'd just start over with everything.
But...there are 11,000 bugs (or thereabouts) in Acrobat 4. To bring it up
to
5-years-ago speed, you need Acrobat 4.05 disk, "and" Acrobat 4.05 Updates 1
and 2.
Why don't you just bite the bullet and upgrade to version 6 for $99.00?
Version 6 professional is only another 50 bucks. You can download these
files from the Adobe website and be done with it.
However, if you don't have OS X (Mac), you can't use 6.x. In that event,
you
are going to have to call Adobe and see what they can do for you.

I am trying to make pdf's from Quark and spent a couple hours on the phone
with Quark support. They set up a virtual PS printer (my local and network
printers apparently are not postscript printers) so I could get the
distiller to run through that. I am still getting postcscript errors and
they said that now I need to reinstall Distiller. Any idea where I can get
that? I can't see how I can load just that alone from my Acrobat 4.0
installer disk and Adobe only has downloads in English up to 3.0.
I am really getting frustrated and have been struggling with this issue for
two weeks. Help!!
