The transparency discussion is about PDFs, not your Photoshop workflow. I
always flatten my Photoshop files before I import them into another program.

how would you flatten after RIP, in Photoshop I flatten my images then save
as tiff but I am not sending to a press but to a Digital image Press(fancy
for colour copier).
