Adobe is a splendid company.

They do have their moments, however, such as the debacle with the first
release of Acrobat 4. If I sent them a bill for the time I spent helping
solve their problems during those initial few months, I could live quite
nicely for a couple of years.

Adobe staff used to monitor and participate in these discussions with
fervor. I haven't seen any activity by Adobe's staff in a long time. I also
used to have regular contact with several of their marketing people and
engineers. They have all but disappeared from my radar.

If I have any criticism of Adobe, and I principly use Acrobat, InDesign and
Photoshop for my work, the company is not always forthright, proactive and
responsive. IMHO, they need to spend more time maintaining some of their
older bridges, and reaching out to those of us who provide an invaluable
service for them.

Thanks, Rich! That works.

I was getting pretty frustrated!

Too bad Adobe took away the "H" and "F"
shortcuts in Acrobat 6, though. And what were they thinking when they put a
chapter on "Filling Out Forms" in the Classroom in a Book, but took out the
one they had on "Creating Forms"?

I know you can't answer these questions--I'm just venting!

  |Jane,
  |
  |You go to TOOLS > ADVANCED EDITING >
FORMS.
  |
  |You have the option of adding either the ADVANCED EDITING
  |toolbar or the FORMS toolbar to your
document (see the last
  |choice on either of those screens). It's hard to find where
  |the forms stuff is at, but once you
display the toolbars
  |it's really slick. The select object tool (ADVANCED
  |FORMATTING) is used to choose the field you want to modify.
