Dov,

Thanks for information. In fact I am not sure that Word don't keep files CMYK... in fact if I import a RGB image in WORD and create a PDF , Distiller tells me that the file is not compliant due to RGB content. When I import CMYK images in WORD, and create a PDF, Distiller tells me that the file is compliant with PDF-X 3... Moreover when I separate plates, the K plate is ok.

Pascal,

Nothing in the Distiller changes the RGB in Word to
CMYK even if you use the PDF/X3 settings. And CMYK images
imported into Word are converted by Word into RGB.

In fact, it you simply print from Word to the "Adobe PDF"
printer driver instance with the PDFX3 settings as is, no
PDF file will be generated due to the fact that a non-calibrated
RGB colorspace would be in the resultant PDF file. You could
change the options to cause the RGB to be "tagged" but that
wouldn't give you CMYK if that is really what you need!
