You may try 'Grafikhuset CMYK PDF Creator 3.1' if you want simple automatic
2-up impositions on-the-fly. Set-up the driver instance in Print ->
Properties -> Advanced -> Printer Features to 'Automatic Booklet 2-up' and
the Output Media size to what you want and then print.

Since you might not need CMYK conversion of images you will gain a
considerable amount of speed if you set Image conversion to 'Leave Images
Unchanged' as well.

That will do the trick. Please see:

If you want more complex impositions I'd strongly recommend Quite Imposing
or QI Plus (www.quite.com).

Subject: [PDF] Imposition software

The PDF list is a service provided by PDFzone.com | http://www.pdfzone.com

We're producing a help manual + help files using some single-sourcing
software that spits out a word document.

We'd like to print (probably photocopy) this onto legal size paper, folded
in half to make printer spreads.

I'm thinking the best solution would be to PDF the word doc and find
imposition software for PDFs that would:

 - properly order the 7 x 8.5 pages and place then on 14 x 8.5 pages (2-up)

 - handle creep (not critical, but would be nice to have)

Any recommendations?
