This is exactly my experience under W2K. Our product works exactly as it should... autoloads... and opens the first screen under the CD version Reader preferences. The PDF list is a service provided by PDFzone.com | http://www.pdfzone.com __________________________________________________________________Denis: Have you tried issuing an execution command based on a specific folder path to AcroRd32.exe on the CD? When we autorun our CD's, the Reader 5.0 version on the disk runs, not the Reader (6.0) version on the hard drive.
But with W98 if there is an install of Reader on the User's HD, that is what runs. Could this be the case for your users as well?

Acrobat Reader... set to autorun from a CD will always find and use a HD instal of Reader, if it exists? Because this is what I find. Like... AcroRd32.exe appears to have some kind of search function that defaults to the HD version...which is then likely to put up a splash screen.... a prompt to configure the user's browser... have no smoothing set ... and a mouse cursor that disappears after a couple of seconds etc.etc. Is there a way of ensuring that a CD version of Reader with the appropriate preferences set is the one used rather than a HD version? Or is this just a 'serious limitation' of Acrobat Reader that I have to live with?
