Hi everybody and Happy New Year!
It's 3 o'clock in the morning and very quite after the fireworks...

I'm very impressed by the gallery this month. I'm also impressed by the amount
of Spotmatics used by the submitters...:)
The pictures that grabbed my attention at the first glance are the following:

" Campbell Center, Mt. Carroll, IL " by Jim Meeks.
A shot I wish I took. Great picture. It's wonderful how the out of focus
foreground frames the image.

" Possessed " by Albano Garcia.
Amazing. Almost thrilling. Did you intend to quote the movie Poltergeist,
Albano?

" The Witness " by William Johnson.
Sad but interesting image. I like the stare of the "eyewitness" that brings
back to the man under the snow.

" Panorama from Rauland, Telemark " by Jostein ksne.
That's an image that my girlfriend would like and hate at the same time... she
spent two summer weeks in Norway three years ago and never had a day like
that.

" Hairway to Steven " by Bucky.
Great composition with a little flaw. I would have left out the white frame
that peeps out from the left, under the banister.

" Caffeine Express " by Bill D. Casselberry.
A good work. I'm not very fond of pictures taken under fluorescent light, even
with the appropriate filter, but when I saw this shot I had a change of
mind...

" Polish Woman " by Darek Zukowski.
Nice shot for a nice woman!

" The woods " by Luis Pinar.
A simple but lovely image. It makes me think of a fairy tale of the Grimms.

" Grace, 1968 " by Shel Belinkoff.
Some times it is hard to be a photographer, trying to let the hidden part of
the subject out...

" The Driver Walked Away " by Byron Butler.
You lucky guy! But you must be ready to help luck if you want to take a shot
like that.

"Very Innocent " by Larry D. Nicklaus.
A lovely child and a nice portrait picture.

That's all, folks!

Gianfranco
