A very good PUG this month. Here are the ones that subjectively struck me.
" Cabbage Trees, Haast River, NZ " by Linda McKie
Interesting shot. Love the isolation and the paleness makes it feel more
"art" than photography.
" Panorama from Rauland, Telemark " by Jostein ksne, Norway
Very restful pastoral composition and nice colors. I'm curious how you feel
the combined scans enhanced the image.
" Look Closely " by Bob Sullivan
Great colors and eye for detail. Finds the beautiful in what might often be
overlooked.
" Polish Woman " by Darek Zukowski
Love the grain and angle of this shot. Very unusual.
" The Driver Walked Away " by Byron Butler, New Jersey, USA
Timing is everything sometimes. Quick reaction AND a nice composition.
" Blue Heron " by Mark Roberts, USA
Love the soft blue gray plumage - it looks feathery. Nice shot.
" Betsy on the Rocks " by Ed Mathews, USA
Nice composition, lighting, and grain effects. Deserves to be enlarged.
" Folds of Pink " by Chris Niesmertelny, USA
Absolutely stunning photograph! Beautiful color and texture. Powerful
image. I will say no more to avoid detracting from the tranquility and
beauty.
" The woods " by Luis Pinar, Argentina
A very beautiful shot! Great lighting and texture from the sun & mist. It
makes me feel as if I'm there
" The shoemaker " by Gerhard Fischer, Germany
Very nice candid with an old world feel.
" Catapillar On Watch " by Paul McLean, Australia
Interesting composition and nice combination of colors with the watch
echoing the caterpillar.
" Framed In Ice " by Mark Cassino, USA
Nice shot Mark. Interesting composition. Worthy of National Geographic.
" Daddy at Work " by Sid Barras / South Louisiana, USA
Clearly a heartwarming subject and great composition. Should be cherished
for a long time.
" Casual Visitor " by Tom Wannenburg, USA
A masterpiece. Very very well done.
