Well, ever since Pentax discontinued their Espio Mini, the Olympus Stylus
Epic has been hugely popular. It has a 35mm f2.8 lens, great red-eye
reduction (for a p&s), a spot-meter mode, and is weather-resistant. The
only problem I've seen with them is that the sliding door in the front is
easy to knock out of alignment, and since it functions as the on/off
switch that pretty much puts the camera out of commision. Yashica's T4
Super is supposed to be quite good as well, though I've never seen one.
I thought about getting the Epic, but decided to go with Canon's S10
digital camera instead. A little larger and heavier, but the "fun" factor
at parties and get-togethers is much greater. It depends on what type of
shooting you want to do.
