I've got an old Minolta AF-V (that was the one from the early '80s that
talked...instead of automatically turning on the flash, it says 'too
dark, use flash'.  Most of the time I leave it set to Japanese, which is
less informative but more entertaining).  I like that it has a pretty
sharp 35mm f3.5 lens in it and that the ISO is set manually with a range
of 25-1600 ISO in thirds of stops.  I often use that dial for exposure compensation.

Oh, and it's kind of big, so the flash is far enough from the lens that
red-eye isn't so big a problem.
