Congrats. I does fell good, doesn't it? :)

To me, top and bottom covers felt like something more solid and
durable than plastic. It looked like metal. It must be magnesium
alloy like the press releases say. I can't say much about front cover
since it is rubberized anyway. Only back cover appeared plastic to
me. Dials seemed plastic too.
Can't agree about the size either. I was able to compare MZ-S with
other Pentax bodies when I hanled it. To me it feels like a
MZ series camera. It's thicker and higher, but just a bit. In
dimension comparison table we can see:
MZ-5n/ZX-5n 135 x 90 x 61,5 mm (5.3 x 3.5 x 2.4) (L x H x D)
MZ-7/ZX-7 135 x 92 x 63,5 mm (5.3 x 3.6 x 2.5) (L x H x D)
MZ-S 136,5 x 95 x 64 mm (5.4 x 3.7 x 2.5") (L x H x D)
Z-1p/PZ-1p 152 x 95,5 x 74 mm (6.0 x 3.8 x 2.9") (L x H x D)
It is obvious that it is not much bigger than any MZ series camera.
However, I'm glad that you find MZ-S as comfortable as PZ-1p/Z1p.
I was happy with the size and handling of MZ-S too (me prefering MZ
design over PZ series), so it might look like MZ-S can satisfy both
MZ and PZ users. <g>

Exactly. I was surprised as well how good the slanted
top feels in real life. It really is an improvement.
