I cannot tell much about their defects.
I would prefer K1000 to ME super, because a fully mechanically
controlled body is usually long-lived and also works better in
extreme conditions than an electronically controlled body.
And the viewfinder of K1000 is one of the best ones Pentax ever
made for 35mm SLR's in point of precise focus, IMHO.
